What is training in environmental studies?

However, in the current global context, a training in the environment mainly focuses on the study of biodiversity, climate change, waste management, and sustainable development. All these aspects can thus be taught in connection with a specific program and constitute a training in the environment.

How to choose the right environmental training for you?
The choice of the ideal environmental training for you should be made based on essential parameters including:
- your professional goals and the years of study required to achieve them ;

- your preference for training at a public or private institution ;
- the specialization you want to choose in the future ;
- your availability.
Indeed, environmental trainings may be available as early as high school in certain institutions. You can opt for this alternative if you are convinced early enough that you want to pursue this path. More generally, they are offered after the baccalaureate as part of higher education.
You can choose to either integrate into a public university or train at a specialized institution, or even at an engineering school. The quickest option is to opt for a short program of 2 years with a BTS or a BUT, or 3 years with a bachelor’s degree. You should then be able to directly access a job and start building your career.
Depending on your ambitions, you also have the option to choose from the start a long program of 5 years. Of course, you can always continue with a Master’s equivalent to a bac + 5 after your bachelor’s degree.
