What is an Aerospace and Space Systems Engineering Program?
The Aerospace and Space Systems Engineering Program at ECE is a major of the engineering cycle taught in French on the Bordeaux campus. In 2 years (2nd and 3rd year of the engineering cycle), you will specialize in the design, security, and optimization of embedded systems for aerospace and space.

The targeted professional certification
The Aeronautics and Space Systems Engineering Program leads to the title of ECE engineer, a level 7 engineering degree accredited by the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur (CTI). This degree, recognized by the state and registered with RNCP No. 7124, certifies a high-quality education and opens the door to engineering careers in France and internationally. ECE is a member of the Conference of Great Schools (CGE).

Evaluation methods
Evaluation is based on continuous assessment throughout the two years of specialization.
Students are evaluated through:
- Individual and team technical projects on real industrial issues.
- Practical laboratory work on embedded systems and avionics platforms.
- The Multidisciplinary Project in Team (PPE) and the Final Study Project (PFE).
- A minimum 6-month engineering internship in a company with a report and defense.
- A mandatory international academic stay, validated with a partner university.

How to apply for the Aerospace and Space Systems Engineering Program?
Admission to the 1st year of the engineering cycle
Open to students who have completed the first two years after the baccalaureate of the ECE Engineering Program, or through parallel admission to students from the 2nd year of CPGE and to holders of a 3rd year undergraduated validated by 180 ECTS (ATS, BUT, Bachelor’s) in a scientific and/or technical field. A strong aptitude for embedded systems, electronics, and aerospace and space fields is expected.
Admission to the 2nd year of the engineering cycle
The major is open to ECE students who have completed the first three years after the baccalaureate of the engineering program. Open for parallel admission to holders of a 4-Year degree validated by 240 ECTS in engineering, electronics, computer science, or in a related scientific field.
This program allows various profiles to join an excellent training recognized by the CTI.

The Aerospace and Aeronautics Systems Engineering Program is offered in an initial rhythm (full-time). The alternation is not available for this course. However, the program includes mandatory internships that allow for a gradual professional immersion in the aerospace and aeronautics industry: a technician internship in the 2nd year of the Engineering cycle and an engineering internship of at least 6 months in the 3rd year of the Engineering cycle.
