Summary
State Aid
How to finance my studies with state aid?
What is the “Mobility” Scholarship?
The Mobility scholarship supports students who are spending time studying or interning abroad. Subject to certain conditions, it helps finance expenses related to international mobility.
What is the Erasmus+ Scholarship?
The Erasmus+ program offers financial assistance to students undertaking academic mobility or an internship at a partner institution in Europe.
The amount of aid varies depending on the destination country, the duration of the stay, and the type of mobility. This scholarship facilitates access to an international experience while limiting financial constraints.
For any questions regarding Erasmus+ funding, the International Relations teams at ECE are at your disposal.
Does the ECE allow for receiving a CROUS scholarship?
Yes. Starting from the 2026 academic year, the ECE is authorized to welcome CROUS scholarship students on its campuses in Paris, Lyon, and Bordeaux for the 5-year Engineering program.
Eligible students can apply for the scholarship based on social criteria (BCS) via the Student Social File (DSE). The allocation depends notably on the resources of the tax household and family situation.
The application is made each year on the CROUS portal:
Students enrolled in other ECE programs (Bachelor, MSc, and Master’s) are not eligible for the CROUS scholarship. However, if they meet the eligibility criteria of the CROUS, they can benefit from the Omnes Education social scholarship of 500 €, upon presentation of their eligibility certificate.
Housing Assistance
What assistance is available for my housing?
Does the school allow for receiving the APL scholarship?
Yes. Student tenants may, under certain conditions, benefit from the Personal Housing Assistance (APL) provided by the CAF.
The amount granted depends notably on:
- the composition of your household;
- your income;
- the amount of your rent;
- the location of the housing.
A simulation can be performed directly on the CAF website to estimate your eligibility.
Does the school allow obtaining the student rental deposit?
Yes. The Visale scheme, offered by Action Logement, can serve as a guarantor for students renting accommodation.
This guarantee, managed by CROUS, facilitates access to rentals and can be used in many private housing options.
Is there a merit-based aid through the CAF?
Yes. The CAF’s Tremplin Jeunes Insertion scheme can finance part of your tuition fees. This aid can reach up to €1,600.
International Mobility
How to finance my stay abroad?
Are internships in France and abroad paid?
During their internships in France or abroad, students can find or negotiate a salary.
In France, internships longer than two months generally result in the payment of a minimum regulatory compensation.
Internationally, this obligation does not always exist. Companies often offer in-kind benefits, such as accommodation, a transport card, or covering the visa.
The compensation conditions depend on the host country, the company, and the duration of the internship.
