A solid technical foundation to go further
The 2nd year of the Engineering Cycle lays the essential groundwork for any specialization in cybersecurity. You master advanced web technologies, databases, operating systems, and computer networks. The courses also cover DevOps, applied machine learning, and the foundational aspects of information systems security.
This generalist year gives you an overview of IT infrastructures. It determines the quality of your expertise in defensive cybersecurity during the 3rd year.

Manage identities, detect incidents, respond to attacks
The 3rd year is entirely dedicated to defensive cybersecurity. You learn to develop security policies, manage identities and access in a Microsoft environment, secure hybrid environments, and conduct digital investigations. The teachings cover cryptography, incident response, forensics, and reverse engineering.
These skills prepare you to intervene in real crisis situations, using the tools and methodologies employed by major public and private organizations.

The Cybersecurity Major is accessible in the 4th year of the ECE Engineering Cycle. Applications for initial training are made through the Avenir competition. Applications for apprenticeships are submitted directly on the ECE platform, outside of Parcoursup.
