The international admission process in 6 steps
The admission process for international students takes place in several stages to ensure integration under the best conditions.
Online application
Submit your application directly on the ECE admission platform.
Motivation interview
After reviewing your application, you may be invited to participate in an online motivation interview.
Admission decision
The admission committee reviews your application and communicates its decision to you.
Administrative registration
Once admitted, you finalize your registration and receive your enrollment certificate.
Visa application
Concerned students must carry out their procedures with Campus France or the French consulate in their country.

What are the admission conditions?
Documents required
To submit your application, you must prepare a complete file including:
- A copy of your passport or identity card
- A CV (Curriculum Vitae)
- A cover letter
- Your transcripts and diplomas obtained (translated if necessary)
- A certificate of school enrollment or a registration certificate for the current year;
- Proof of proficiency in French or English depending on the chosen program.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor 1 : Must hold a secondary school diploma equivalent to the baccalauréat.
- Bachelor 2 : Validation of the first year of higher education or equivalent (60 ECTS credits).
- Bachelor 3 : Validation of two years of higher education or equivalent (120 ECTS credits).
- Engineering Program : Admission is based on the level of education already validated and the candidate’s academic background.
- Msc : Must hold a Bachelor’s degree, License, or equivalent according to the targeted program.

Language Test
For programs taught in French
- TCF or TEF: minimum level B2
- DELF: minimum level B2
- DALF: level C1
For programs taught in English
- TOEFL iBT: minimum 79
- TOEFL paper-based: minimum 550
- TOEFL computer-based: minimum 213
The language test is not required if the language of instruction corresponds to your native language or if you have obtained a diploma in that language.
Studying in France after a French high school
Apply via Parcoursup
International students enrolled in a French high school can, depending on their situation, apply through the Parcoursup platform to join certain programs at ECE.
November to January
Discover the courses and participate in open house days or student fairs.
January to March
Submit your wishes on the Parcoursup platform.
March to April
Complete your file with the required documents.
Starting from June
Check the responses from the institutions and confirm your choice.

Do I need a visa to study in France?
Students from the European Union do not need a visa. Students from outside the European Union must take steps with Campus France or the French consulate in their country.
What language level do I need to have?
The required level depends on the language of instruction of the chosen program. A minimum B2 level is generally required.
Can I take a work-study program?
The rules regarding alternation depend on your administrative situation and your residence permit. Our admissions teams can assist you based on your situation.
Which campuses can I study at?
ECE welcomes international students at several campuses in France, particularly in Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux, Rennes, and Toulouse.
Can I receive assistance with my administrative procedures?
Yes, it is possible. The International Admissions teams assist students throughout their project: application, visa, housing, and preparation for arrival in France.
