Discover our AI and DATA programs
The Major in AI & DATA is an engineering program specializing in the processing of big data and artificial intelligence. It covers the entire data chain, from collection and storage to modeling, deep learning, and generative AI. The program lasts for 2 years, starting from the 4th year of the Engineering Cycle, on the Paris campus.
Each student develops sharp technical skills in applied mathematics, algorithms, and programming. These foundations enable them to design real intelligent applications, deploy predictive models, and engage in high-impact projects across all sectors of activity.
The AI & DATA Major from the Engineering Cycle prepares students for highly sought-after jobs in the job market:
- Data Architect;
- Data Scientist;
- Data Engineer;
- Machine Learning Engineer;
- Research Engineer in computer vision.
These profiles work in various fields such as healthcare, finance, industry, transportation, or digital services.
The skills developed throughout the program allow access to positions of responsibility as early as the first years of a career. ECE graduates are recognized by recruiters for their dual technical expertise and their ability to work on concrete applications, from modeling to production.
Yes. Mathematics are at the heart of the IA & Data Major. Starting from the 2nd year of the Engineering Cycle, you will take courses in mathematics for Data Scientists, covering the statistical foundations, linear algebra, and differential calculus necessary for understanding machine learning algorithms.
In the 3rd year, these mathematical foundations are directly applied in deep learning and data analytics courses. Processing big data, probabilistic modeling, and algorithm optimization require solid mathematical skills.
This foundation sets apart engineers trained at ECE from purely application-oriented profiles.
Yes. The Intelligence Lab is the educational laboratory of ECE fully dedicated to generative AI. Students in the AI & Data major work on concrete projects involving LLM models, multimodal systems, and open-source architectures, in conditions similar to those encountered in the business world.
This laboratory has cutting-edge infrastructure, featuring a powerful GPU cluster and access to top-tier cloud resources. It maintains close ties with research laboratories, innovative startups, and tech leaders in France and internationally.
It is a differentiating asset that places ECE among the most advanced campuses in terms of applied AI.
The AI & Data major integrates teachings in cybersecurity starting from the 2nd year of the Engineering Cycle. Courses on information system security and computer network security are part of the common curriculum for both majors. This cross-disciplinary approach is essential: data engineers work with sensitive data and must master the challenges of protection and compliance.
Cybersecurity in data architectures is a rapidly growing field. Profiles capable of combining big data processing and mastery of IT risks are particularly valued by companies. This dual skill set provides a genuine advantage in the job market.
