On Thursday, March 27, 2025, the LyRIDS Research Center of the ECE organized the seventh edition of the Young Researchers’ Day (JJC 2025). This event, held at the Media Center of the ECE, showcased the research work of engineering students, PhD candidates, and teacher-researchers of the school.
A rich and varied program
The morning began with a welcome and introduction led by Assia Soukane and Waleed Mouhali, setting the tone for a day centered on sharing and innovation.
Several key moments highlighted the event:
• Poster Session: The engineering students from the research minor presented their projects, illustrating the diversity and relevance of the scientific issues addressed at the school.
• “My thesis in 180 seconds”: A popularization exercise where the PhD candidates from LyRIDS presented their research in a concise and impactful manner. Among them:
• Oussema Abdelmoula, Youssef Al Ozaibi, Alexandre Lambert, Melchior Arnal, Yanis Bardes, Rémi Bouchayer, Billel Hakem, Maria Kandyli, David Kivarkis, and Koloina Randrianavony.
• Testimonials from LyRIDS Alumni: Former PhD candidates shared their journeys and the opportunities offered by research at ECE.
• Closing and Awards Ceremony: A moment of recognition for the best presentations and scientific contributions.

This event was also an opportunity to highlight the work of teacher-researchers from the LyRIDS laboratory, who support and mentor young researchers in their projects. The JJC 2025 has once again established itself as a key event for young researchers of the ECE, fostering interdisciplinary exchanges and enhancing the value of scientific work. This dynamic reflects the school’s ambition to strengthen its contribution to innovation and high-level research.
