The Avenir Competition: What is it?
Created in 2009, the Avenir Competition was one of the first common competitions allowing access to associative Post-Bac Engineering Schools in France. It has become essential for students in their final year but also for students at Bac+1 level, positioning itself for several years as the competition that brings together the most sought-after private engineering schools on Parcoursup.
With over 3,000 combined places offered to thousands of candidates each year, it is also the most selective competition. The Avenir Competition offers two programs on Parcoursup: The ENGINEERING program and the BACHELOR program.
For students in General Terminale – purple profile only (Mathematics specialty + 1 specialty called ‘scientific’ among: SVT, NSI, SI or Physics-Chemistry), Preparation Days for the Avenir Competition are organized.

- 9:30 AM: Welcome of the participants
- Introductory speech
- Methodology & tips
- 9:35 – 10:30 :Methodology and tips
- 10:30 – 12:00 :Mathematics → 30 minutes of writing for 15 questions (out of 20 proposed) + 1 hour of correction/explanations
- 12:00 – 13:30 :Lunch provided with surprise animations
- 13:30 – 14:30 :English → 15 minutes of writing on 30 intuitive questions + 45 minutes of correction/explanations
- 14:30 – 15:30 :Sciences → 20 minutes of writing for 10 questions (out of 13 proposed) + 40 minutes of correction/explanations
Parents’ Workshop – The ECE Parents’ Café
From 9:30 to 10:30, we invite you dear parents to share with us a coffee around which we will discuss certain topics.
Several themes will be addressed, with the goal of informing you and conveying the spirit of one of the largest engineering schools in France.
