OUTGOING STUDENTS

ECE offers its students many opportunities of international mobility which will allow them later to work naturally and with ease and efficiency in a multicultural environment.

For that, ECE students have many opportunities to go on international mobility during their studies. They can study for a semester in one of ECE’s partner universities in the 1st and 3rd year of the engineering program. In the last year of the program, they can also integrate a double-diploma program among forty programs with one of the numerous international academic partners.

They also have the possibility to acquire this opening to others, the discovery of other cultures and the deepening of their mastery of foreign languages throughout the curriculum during internships in companies abroad.

ECE has signed nearly 150 agreements with 130 foreign universities in 47 countries on the 5 continents for student and teacher exchanges and research cooperation. All the partner universities deliver Master’s level courses in the field of engineering sciences.

Mobility in the 2nd year of the Integrated Preparatory Program (ING2)

ECE offers to its young students an innovative and “avant-garde” program focused on art and technology designed and implemented in collaboration with the Omnes Education campus in San Francisco.

Increasingly close ties between designers and engineers exist in very real ways in different sectors.

The story of Steve Jobs and Apple is the best example. The conventionally separate worlds of art and technology, inspiration and engineering, are coming together in innovation strategies.

Creativity must be combined with technical expertise.

Mobility in the 1st year of the Engineering Cycle (ING3)

During the 2nd year of the ECE integrated preparatory cycle, the students prepare their international mobility which will take place the following year, in the 1st year of the engineering cycle (ING3): formulation of the destination wishes, departure formalities, preparation of the stay… This mobility takes place between beginning of August and end of December

The students who enter the ECE in ING3 have the possibility to do an international mobility in the second semester of this school year.

Finally, students who enter the ING3 apprenticeship program will be able to carry out their international mobility in a corporate or academic setting.

Mobility in the 3rd year of the Engineering Cycle (ING5)

A new possibility of international mobility is given to students in ING5. It is optional for all students who have already validated their international experience in ING3, and mandatory for the others.

Example of international destinations in ING5: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Philippines, Thailand, …

The Erasmus+ Program

Erasmus+ is a European program that allows any institution with an Erasmus+ charter to create a partnership with another institution that also has a charter.

The Erasmus+ program facilitates and encourages the European mobility of students, teachers and staff of higher education institutions.

Each year the JIT submits a grant application to the Erasmus+ agency. In order to enable exchanges between program participants, the Erasmus+ agency allocates a grant to partner institutions. The latter then distribute grants to students, staff or professors carrying out a mobility within the framework of Erasmus+. The amount of the scholarships is defined by the Erasmus+ agency according to the standard of living in the host country.

In order to obtain a scholarship, ECE students must first apply to the ECE international service with a file that is sent to them by email. The obtaining of a scholarship is not systematic.

In 2022, ECE has more than 100 Erasmus+ university partnerships.

International double degrees

Students have the possibility to follow a double degree program allowing them to obtain the diploma of a partner institution as well as the ECE engineering diploma.

OMNES Education London

OMNES Education San Francisco

OMNES Education is located in California to offer programs focused on innovation and entrepreneurship. The 850m² campus is ideally located in the Financiel District, between Sansome & Market Street, in the heart of San Francisco, a cosmopolitan city in perpetual growth.

A few kilometers further south, Silicon Valley, one of the most dynamic regions in the world in the field of new technologies, where many companies known for their innovative dimension are based: Google, Apple, Facebook or Tesla.

Students benefit from exceptional partnerships with Citris Foundry, UC Berkeley’s incubator, and SF MOMA, the largest museum of modern and contemporary art in the United States, to conduct creative art, technology and digital projects.
