6 of our engineering students, as part of their “Multi-disciplinary team project” course, decided to carry out a project using innovation and technology to promote biodiversity.

Meet the Bestiole team

The team, which has forged strong ties over the years, is made up of :

  • Alexis LAMAUDIERE
  • Paul RENAUDIN
  • Hermione CARPENTIER

These students are part of the Product Engineering & Innovation major.

  • Jean-Baptiste KIEFFER
  • Youness LAGNAOUI

Part of the Information Systems – Cybersecurity & Big Data major.

  • Alexandre THEILLER

Who chose the Finance and Quantitative Engineering major.

They are accompanied by their mentor Laurent DELISLE and the project team Olivier GIRINSKY and Stephanie LE MAREC.

They have come up with a system incorporating artificial intelligence, enabling the user to monitor insect populations in real time, in particular pests.

They then applied to the national competition for innovation in agriculture, food and sustainable development, called MAKEITAGRI.

Their project has now been selected as one of the 9 finalists for this national prize!

Follow Bestiole’s progress through the next stages:

  • Pitch on the Ministry of Agriculture stand at the Salon de l’Agriculture on March 2, 2023
  • MakeltAgri meetings at the Académie de l’agriculture on May 11, 2023 with start-ups and incubators
  • The award ceremony on June 16, 2023 in the heart of Paris!
