ECE Paris extends its network in INDIA
In 2009, ECE began recruiting Indian students who join the school for the last 2 years of the programme in order to obtain ECE Master’s Degree in Engineering and to work for French companies established in their country.
Laurent Hua, Director of Development, visited INDIA in December 2010 to sign a partnership agreement with BKBIET, the Engineering School located on the BITS (Birla Institute of Technology) campus, in Pilani (Rajasthan), through which ECE will receive Indian trainees in its research laboratory on an annual basis. A campaign of interviews and press conferences in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad has given rise to a dozen mentions in the Indian press, helping ECE increase its visibility and advertise the new majors in its programme.
The participation of ECE at the Franco-Indian week exhibition organised by Campus France in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Madras facilitated direct contact with interested young Indian students through engineering studies in France.
On the completion of this mission, a reception given at the Alliance Française in Madras, with the participation of Mr Pierre Fournier, Consul General, put these students in contact with French company directors established in India (RENAULT, AREVA, POCLAIN, VEOLIA, MICHELIN and SOCOMEC).
