Practical information

International Relations Team

For any of the programs at ECE Paris, the international relations team is your point in contact at ECE Paris. You are able to contact us by email at incoming@ece.fr. This team will assist you all administrative matters before and after arrival in France.

Government Housing subsidy (CAF)

International students who have a rental agreement in France are entitled to apply for a housing subsidy during your stay in France. You must have a valid rental agreement, an international birth certificate translated officially into French, a valid stay permit in France (titre de séjour). The housing subsidy allowance is around 178Euros per month starting from the second month after arrival. The International Relations team is able to assist you in the application procedure for the housing subsidy when you arrive in France.

For the degree seeking international students, please contact us at incoming@ece.fr in order to receive information regarding the current tuition fees at ECE Paris for the Master’s degree program in Engineering.

French Social Security healthcare coverage

All international students studying at ECE Paris MUST have a healthcare coverage for the duration of your stay in France, even if you are here only for one semester or one month for the summer programs.

If you are at ECE Paris for more than one month, you must be registered in the French Social Security healthcare coverage and an extended healthcare coverage from the first month after you start the program. The French Social Security coverage is registered through the school. If you are an EU citizen, please have your valid EU healthcare card with you for the duration of your program at ECE Paris.

For all healthcare coverage application, the international relations team will assist you with this matter.

Housing

ECE Paris’s International Relations Department is able to assist you with your accommodation search in Paris. We have agreements with various private and student residences inside Paris and in the Greater Parisian area. The standard accommodation is a single studio apartment of around 18m² with a fully equipped kitchen and en suite facilities for around 700€ per month minimum. As spaces are limited, we strongly encourage you to contact our colleagues at the International Department very soon after you have decided to join the program. You are also able to find accommodation on your own and we are able to advise you on the different sites and steps to follow in renting an apartment in Paris if required.

Cost of Living

Housing: 700-900€ / month

Food: 200€ per month

Entertainment: 150€ per month

Social Security / Health Insurance: 213€ per year (French National Social Security coverage.  Amount changes every year. Coverage from Oct – Sept)

Miscellaneous: 100€ per month
