The major Transportations & Mobility
In 2006, the percentage of the world living in urban settings reached 50%. This number is only rising. In 2007 in Europe, the proportion was 75%. Within this context, mobility in urban and intercity environments represents a global challenge which requires efficient transport solutions that are both environmentally efficient and safe.
Technology plays a crucial role in communicating with passengers, supporting their comfort and security, controlling fossil fuel as well as electrical energy consumption, the rationalization of urban and inter-city transportation plans, clear traffic control and forecasting. Successful management of major cities around the world depends on the quality of the technological solutions that are developed.
