Education at ECE Emphasizes On Projects
The five years of study include challenging projects which are conducted using the same requirements as in the professional world. Students are expected to meet the specifications and deadlines, write progress reports and participate in progress meetings, and present their findings at the end of the project. The resulting teamwork heightens student awareness of company organizations that increasingly structure their efforts around major technological group projects. Another major advantage of project-based education is that students shift from an educational auditor perspective to an educational actor perspective, requiring a more proactive attitude.
The Scientific and Technical Team Project (“PSTE”)
The PSTE is done in the context of the scientific classes taught at ECE during the first two years of formation (called the prep classes or preparatory cycle). Students are asked to collaboratively analyze a scientific problematic.
The Multimedia Projects
Students enrolled in the Audiovisual & Digital Media minor collaborate with audiovisual companies working on high technological added value.
The Electronic/Computer Projects
Computer science and electronics are taught starting as early as in the preparatory cycle of the educational program of the ECE Graduate School of Engineering. In the context of these teachings, application exercises are offered to students during the first year of prep classes.
The Associative Projects
The associative life at ECE is full of enriching experiences and teachings. Whether they launch a rocket, organize the gala of the school, or install electricity in an African village, our students have no time to waste between classes. Organization, management, rigor, mutual aid, the associative projects are part of our education at ECE.
