A True International Culture: At ECE All Students Cross Borders!

Going Abroad is No Longer an Option

Borders have become partly an obsolete concept in the world economy, and companies and projects have become transnational. To face the global environment today is not only a matter of personality, but mainly a matter of training. Once again, we consider it to be our mission to help you fully take advantage of today’s opportunities. For this reason, our curriculum has been designed to incorporate an international minor, 26 exchange programs with foreign universities in 11 countries, numerous internship opportunities abroad, and Web connections to multiply sources of discoveries and encounters.

Welcome the World and the World Will Welcome You…

Partnerships and exchange programs

ECE has since long developed partnerships and exchange programs with prestigious international universities, which have turned into mutually beneficial collaboration agreements. We strongly encourage our students to experience exciting international exposure at least once in addition to the common-core seminars conducted in Great Britain.

Seminaries in UK

Students that joined ECE after graduation from high school travel a full trimester to England, just before entering the engineering cycle, for a 3-month seminar exclusively in English at the Stafford University. During these 3 months, our students actively train in science, technique, and the English language while our students from other programs go through the harmonization cycle.

In the fifth and final year of the engineering cycle, our students study marketing, finance, production, and human resources in English during one month at the Stafford University where the leading faculty of the university prepares their upcoming professional integration in cross-functional and cross-border teams.

Final year abroad

Additionally, students also have the opportunity to experience a final year abroad through our exchange programs with the University of Stafford and the University of Oxford Brookes in England, the University of Aalborg in Denmark, the University of Barcelona in Spain, and many other universities in Australia and China. They can also take advantage of the CREPUQ convention which facilitates exchanges with our partner universities in Quebec (McGill, Uqam, Concordia, ETS, Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal…). In some cases, students can obtain a dual degree – the ECE masters degree and a master of science from the partner university.

Master of Science

ECE also extends the possibility to prepare a master of science at one of our partner universities in Great Britain. This is particularly interesting for students who wish to conduct an international career in industries related to information and communication technologies.
